Two nearby junctions of the M25 (17 and 18) give easy access to the motorway network.

The green opens spaces accessible from the front door are a great asset.

Rickmansworth is ideally placed with easy access to all the places detailed above but it is also on the edge of the Chilterns, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Aquadrome, an area of former gravel pits, is a particular favourite area for walking, with its different lakes, including one designated as a nature reserve, and those used for water sports (water skiing, sailing and water polo). The Aquadrome also gives access to the local canal network, and from the Canal Centre you can take a short canal ride, or walk along the Ebury Way, a path following the line of a disused railway line, heading towards Watford. From William Penn, across the fields, an easy walk takes you to Wood Oaks Farm with its Tea Shack, and Brewery, and the which is now seeking to expand to include other small local enterprises. There are local woods to explore too, and for the slightly more energetic you can walk down to Chorleywood Common, another whole area of green space to explore.
Rickmansworth high street also has it's own theatre, Watersmeet, with live shows, a cinema and live screenings, and an annual pantomime.
